Remember boys 'n girls, keep your POS fueled!

Okay so, Ive been playing around in my hole as usual, doing my regular money making activities and when not, ive been building bit of medieval empire in Europa Universalis III. Great strategy game, compared to those starcrafts and whatnot, they are basicly minigames.

So, to the funny story...!

I was having a look for mercenary corporation and I actually found one. The reason why I wanted to find one was my friendly wormhole neighbors, I wanted to get rid of them, altho they never gave any trouble to me. I just never liked the idea of sharing same hole with anyone:)

Alright so I started chatting with this mercenary guy and he asked me to check the enemy tower setup to determine the price. So I went to check the tower, like I usually do, almost every day. And the funny thing was, these guys had their POS forcefield down and modules offline. Now this is obviously situation where people either leave the POS like this and move into new home, but due to their inactivity I guess they just ran out of fuel last night.

So I picked up my cane, popped the storage buildings and every other processing building that was left there. There wasnt much loot, but I guess Im happy that I didnt hire mercs last week or anything like that. Saved some isk there.

So now Im all alone here in the system, but Ive started to think wether I should just recruit bunch of people and make this more fun, I would obviously stop writing about solo life. It just isnt fun doing stuff all alone in cold, dark space...!

First status report!

Ahoy!

Ive got to admit, this is practicly my first post, I ment the 2 first ones as intro for my journey...

I will start with saying that large portion of free time that I ''should have'' spent on my wormhole project and Eve in general, has been spent on Skyrim. Great game, still doesnt beat Morrowind when it comes to Elder scrolls, but still, great fun! Dark, depressing and dragony fun that is.

Gotta say, I dont recommend this solo wormholery for anyone, let me tell you why.

First of all, PVP.
I ran into situation where I got ganked in my loki and when you are there alone, you wont beat tengu and maelstorm alone, as simple as that. It didnt help that those guys were from Narwhals (sorry im bad with names, might be typo). Altho it really doesnt matter, I lost the ship, BUT I managed to eject before they got me, plus they also popped the loki because I left it so close. Not really win but better than nothing right?

Second, winter expansion custom offices.
This is going to be bitch for me, Im doing my best to be self sufficient on 2 accounts, its not hard for PI fuel, I got it covered. But if you add the factor of your Player Owner Custom Offices factor into my kind of lifestyle its going to make my life very hard. I guess this is PVP problem aswell.

Mining, gas harvest.
This is also an ''problem'', I simply dont have time for anything else than clearing combat sites ( I got C2 static aswell) and its been fun. But seeing 10 gravs and 10 ladars, it feels like waste... I hope someone would be there to harvest them away so I wont have to :)

I gotta say logistics hasnt been so bad. Mainly because im quite self sufficient, I brought lots of ice with me and I got cloaky hauler alt. And yes, Ive been quite lucky with holes, Ive got static lowsec so, that isnt so terrible.

So far Ive made quite bit of isk, I shouldve paid more attention on where it came from tho..

The thing is, on my first cashout run to tradehub I netted about half a billion, it was about 2 days of sites. Lets say 10 total sites and 3 extra which were mix of radars and mags, dont remember how many exactly.
But I got lots of nanoribbons on that haul, about 40 or so. Last run I only had 5 or something. So there is some mysterious place where all those nanoribbons came from, I dont really know which sites gives those as salvage on such high ratio. If someone can tell me that, ill happily donate 1 isk for your troubles.

I must admit, In future I will prolly use this POS as some corp base, I could form corporation around this instead of leaving the POS or making sad attempt to unanchor it safely alone. It all comes down to my trust issues, so thats not gonna be too soon. Not until I get too lonely in this hole.

//Banroh.

ps. I told my name there, I told im going to stay anonymous but to hell with it,  no harm done.

Day One!

Alright so, first day is done.

After nice little movie marathon (bout 3 full movies), while onlining the POS, bringing tools and fuel in, Ive finally got my stuff set. :)

Atleast I thought so... I realized that it would be good thing to start setting up Planetary Interaction right away. Well I got to admit, Im not much of a fan. Its nice for indy stuff but still, too much spreadsheets and all that stuff.

So after all that I scanned the whole system down, conclusion: 2 of my static holes, 14 gravimetric sites, 10 gas sites, 1 magnetic and 3 radar sites. + 10 combat anomalies, as you might see here, no one has been using this hole that much and its quite rich.

But the fun thing is, there actually is someone living inside. I found this wormhole system 3 days ago while looking for home (some 500 systems and cosmic signatures before) and saw this POS, I had one character checking in every now and then for couple of days, nothing happened. Its online and all that but still, what a waste right? During my home searching probe journey I ran into several systems like this so I thought if I find perfect hole, even with POS, Ill stay. And thats exactly what I did. But we will see, this might get interesting after they realize theyve got visitors, who knows!

I kind of thought Id just do few sleeper sites and that went ''decent''. I havent really done these for while, so I ended up fitting 2 of my characters into remote rep battlecruisers just to realize you dont need RR in C2 (yes thats where I live). Obviously after couple runs into closest market I got my stuff running smoothly and sites were done pretty fast.

BUT! this but is big one... I didnt bring noctis down to the hole so I had to pick that one as well!
I really gotta start doing shopping lists or something.

But yeah, besides forgetting lots of stuff and testing fits, that was pretty much it. Wasnt really hoping much from boring POS setup day anyways:)

Not this shit again? Well I try my best to be different!

Fresh, new and yet another wormhole blog eh?

Well, I guess its just me but I really thought I should write down my adventures.
So, this blog is about solo gameplay in wormholes, no cuddly corpies to back up for you in these cold harsh holes of EVE, no comfort of getting into set corporation.

Im doing this mainly for the experience, but one of the biggest reasons is the amount of people mentioning ''Solo wormholing'' on the forums without getting any real responses nor experience, I myself have also thought about this for ages. I dont know why but I guess by trying it I will be more enlightened.

So, basicly I will be covering all my adventures in this blog, mainly to write sort of diary for myself (To read after ragequitting because of POS blowing up for example:)) and for the people curious about solo wormholery in general. Im not trying to encourage people to do this, my intention is only to give brief look into it. I myself think that this is fairly bad idea after all.

So, little bit of background on me as EVE player:

I have been playing for little over an year now. Im not much of a blogger, Im more like those community followers. I read lots of blogs, listen podcasts and read forums (I dont reply at all, oddly)

My EVE career has included start as industrial person but for the last 6months Ive tried to get hang of PVP (im not carebear really:)) and PVE. Lately Ive done lots of incursions, but it got boring pretty fast...
I got basic experience on wormholes, I havent been part of any major WH corporation in higher class wormholes though. I have got alot to learn about wormholes, but still I think this experiment will be more interesting if you get to do it as fairly new wormholer.

And yes, Ive got alt(s). I dont know if that blows the whole ''solo experiment'' for some people but I still think its worth doing!!!

Also, for starters I will be doing this anonymously, I dont want anyone tracking me down just because I do this experiment alone (ie. easy prey :)). I will reveal myself as soon as I have my shit worked out!
But yeah, thats enough on me, I will get back to setting up my POS and all that disgusting stuff.
